Cairo, Jumada I 25, 1439, February 11, 2018, SPA -- The Arab League has expressed concern over the plight of the displaced from the Libyan city of Tawergha. In a statement issued today, the Arab League affirmed that it follows with a great concern the humanitarian plight of displaced people from the Libyan city of Tawergha after they were prevented from returning to their homes on the basis of the agreement already reached between the local council of the city and the Misrata municipal council. Mahmoud Afifi, Spokesperson of the Arab League Secretary General, called to lift immediately all obstacles to the return of these displaced people to their homes, and to secure their humanitarian needs through implementation of terms of the agreement. --SPA 19:24 LOCAL TIME 16:24 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w608748
