King Salman, Algerian President Hold Talks in Riyadh

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held official talks in Riyadh on Thursday with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. They reviewed solid relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of developing and strengthening them in various fields. They also discussed the latest developments in the region and the world. An Algerian diplomat affirmed that Tebboune discussed with the Saudi leadership ways to boost ties between the Kingdom and Algeria in various fields, highlighting the historic brotherly relations that link the two countries. In a call with Asharq Al-Awsat, the Algerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Abdel Sadouq, described ties between the two countries as "strong." Sadouq noted that relations between the two counties extend back to the revolution of the first of November (1954) as “Saudi Arabia was the first to support this glorious revolution", adding that the recent visit of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Algeria boosted these ties. The talks between Tebboune and King Salman were attended by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, who is also the accompanying minister; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor; Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance; Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, Minister of State for African Countries Affairs; Saudi Ambassador to Algeria Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Omaireni; and the Algerian Presidents accompanying delegation.
