There were 1,707 new recoveries, reaching a total of 74,524, Health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying. There were 99 new infections in Dhahran, 42 in Taif, 41 in Ad-Diriyah, 38 in Khamis Mushayt, 33 in Al-Mubarraz, 28 in Jubail, 22 in Al-Kharj, 21 in Tabuk, 19 in Ras Tanura, 18 in Wadi Al-Dwasir, 15 in Hafr Al-Batin, 13 each in Abha, Al-Aridha, Jazan and Ar"ar, and 10 in Yanbu. The rest of the cases were scattered in several small towns and governorates, the spokesman said. Authorities moved to reimpose restrictions on the city of Jeddah from Saturday as the number of coronavirus cases continued to grow. The restrictions prohibit movement in all areas of the city from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m. and ban dining in restaurants and cafes. Workplace attendance has also be halted, with the restrictions set to last until June 20. Elsewhere in the Kingdom, authorities have enacted a three-stage plan aimed at returning to normalcy. However, the general guidelines do not apply to the holy city of Makkah, where a complete lockdown remains.
