DAMMAM: The Eastern Province municipality has carried out hundreds of field inspection tours in the region as part of coronavirus precautionary measures. The inspections resulted in dozens of violations: 48 for activities excluded during curfew hours, 75 for overcrowding at malls, three for overcrowding at workers’ residences. The municipality has also carried out 649 tours of food and commercial facilities in Al-Na’air governorate. The teams issued warnings and imposed fines on a number of establishments, destroyed 6,272 kilos of expired food and confiscated food items unfit for consumption.
