VIENNA — Saudi Arabia has expressed its concern over Iran’s repeated violations of its nuclear agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the nuclear watchdog of the United Nations for non-peaceful purposes. In a key address before the governors of the IAEA in Vienna, Prince Abdullah Bin Khalid Bin Sultan, Saudi ambassador to Austria, who is also his country’s governor to the IAEA, stated that Iran is still exploiting loopholes in the deal to extend its nuclear activity with an aim to obtain nuclear weapons, citing a recent IAEA report that Iran has increased its enriched uranium, surpassing the agreed levels, and continued to expand its usage of the advanced centrifuge. The Saudi envoy called for a new comprehensive nuclear agreement in order to plug the holes in the 2015 deal. He said that the new deal should be done in a way that guarantees Iran as well as its neighbors the rights for the peaceful use of nuclear energy as well as prevents Iran from expanding its terrorist regional plots and obtaining nuclear weapons.
