UAE announces 388 new coronavirus cases, 3 deaths

ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Thursday announced 388 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country to 43,752, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Health and Prevention. The ministry said that it conducted more than 40,000 new coronavirus tests among different segments of the society, using state-of-the-art technology. All the newly detected cases are stable and receiving necessary health care, the ministry added. The ministry also announced that three more people have died from the virus, raising the total number of virus-related fatalities to 298. The ministry offered its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and wished hospitalized patients a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, a total of 704 more patients have completely recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 30,241. There are 13, 511 active cases still receiving medication at medical facilities across the country, according to the ministry.
