Bahrain COVID-19 fatalities cross 200-mark

MANAMA — Bahrain has announced two coronavirus fatalities, with the death toll passing 200 as of Tuesday, the health ministry said. The two females, aged 51 and 80, were the latest to die due to COVID-19 complication in the kingdom making the overall fatality figure to 202. The total infections in the country stand at 56,076, with 661 new cases reported during the past 24 hours. There were 51,240 confirmed recoveries. A total of 4,636 cases remain active. Of the new cases, 78 were among expatriate workers, 579 were contacts of active cases, and four were travel related. As many as 10,580 COVID-19 tests were carried out on Monday, Sept. 7, the ministry said. — Agencies
