JEDDAH — In the presence of representatives from Saudi universities, AstraZeneca announced the commencement of 3rd training program in the “AstraZeneca Academy.“ The program aims to prepare and qualify Fresh graduates of Pharmacy through an integrated curricula that includes several stages ( Theoretical concepts, on the job practical and administrative training in the various departments of the company, and finally the presentation of a graduation project) while continuously evaluating the progress of each participant. The Director of Human Resources, Engineer Wael Sindi stated that the academy will enable the graduates to benefit from the expertise of AstraZeneca international companies in line with the needs of the Saudi labor market, The program aims to contribute to preparing Pharmacy graduates with the required knowledge and skills to join the global and local pharmaceutical companies. In support of the efforts made by the scientific office of AstraZeneca, Dr. Fahad Al-Otaibi, the GM of the company confirmed that “AstraZeneca Academy “ is first of its kind in the Kingdom and falls in line with framework set by the Kingdom’s vision 2030 which requires the Saudization of the Pharmaceutical Industry representatives in the Kingdom. Al-Otaibi said that the program will be conducted virtually so it can to include all regions of Saudi Arabia. It was developed to be 3 months of intensive training with unremitting follow up to ensure trainees progress.
