Al-Fadhli stresses importance of joining efforts to achieve sustainability in water management

RIYADH — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called for concerted efforts and exchange of experiences to achieve sustainability in water management and effectively valuing its economic and social value. This came in the speech of the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli during the opening of a virtual meeting Monday within the activities of the Saudi Water Forum, coinciding with the World Water Day that falls on March 22 of each year with this year holding the theme: "Valuing Water." Al-Fadhli said, "The world realizes the importance of water in the survival and continuity of life, and in the growth and prosperity of human civilizations.” He added that the celebration of the World Water Day this year aims to raise global awareness of the value of water and its main role in achieving resilient economic and social development at all levels, and reducing the risks of water shortage and pollution to society and the environment. — SPA
