RIYADH: The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) praised Saudi Arabia’s pioneering humanitarian role on Friday, in particular the generous support it provides to Yemenis. Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made the comments during a meeting with the Kingdom’s ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Abdul Aziz Al-Wasel. The two officials discussed many issues and aspects of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and the WHO, relief and humanitarian operations in Yemen, and ways to strengthen humanitarian programs supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief).
