The Ministry of Health (MOH) has denied cancelation of the second dose anti-COVID-19 vaccine. This was stated by Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaaly, official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, while denying “what is being circulated about the cancelation of the second dose anti-coronavirus vaccine is untrue”. “What is taking place is that it has been postponed only. The objective of postponement is to speed up the tempo to reach the largest number of individuals in society who have taken the first dose and raise the level of immunity,” he said. He further said: “The date for the second dose will reach the beneficiary automatically, for those who are over 60 years old. It will be of the same vaccine type as the first dose. “The ‘Priority’ Service has been launched. It will be allocated for giving senior citizens appointments. The service is available via the ‘Sehhaty’ app.” Dr. Al-Abdulaaly added that the pandemic is still on, and he called for compliance with the precautionary measures so as to reach the targeted immunity in society. He confirmed that 75 percent of the cases detected recently were caused by family occasions. He denied what is being circulated that the vaccine contains a magnetic chip (that can be attracted by a magnet?) or the existence of any relationship between the “black fungus” infection and the novel coronavirus. Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior Spokesman Lt. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub has stressed the necessity to fully comply with the precautionary measures. This has come in the wake of detecting over 25,000 violators of the anti-COVID-19 precautionary measures, in just one week. Lt. Col. Al-Shalhoub stressed the penalties for violating the precautionary measures. He said that the penalty for people gathering for social purposes, like invitations and parties, the fine is SR40,000. Meanwhile, workers who violate the regulations by holding gatherings will be fined SR50,000. The penalties apply to the host and attendees.
