KSrelief hosts online foreign aid workshop in Riyadh

RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center organized an introductory workshop on the Kingdom’s foreign aid online platform on Thursday at its headquarters in Riyadh. It aims to internationally register and document the country’s humanitarian and development aid provided to other countries. The ministries of foreign affairs, education, finance, health, economy and planning, environment, water and agriculture, energy and media took part in the event. Makki Hamed, KSrelief director of research and information, delivered a visual presentation to introduce the Saudi aid platform and its objectives. He highlighted the importance of documenting humanitarian and development aid. The Saudi Fund for Development, Saudi Red Crescent Authority, General Directorate of Civil Defense, Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program For Yemen, Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, General Directorate of Passports, King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation and Al-Waleed Humanitarian Foundation also took part in the event. Meanwhile, KSrelief is continuing its water supply and environmental sanitation project in the Al-Khokha District of Yemen’s Hodeidah Governorate. From Sept. 23-29, KSrelief pumped 315,000 liters of clean water to tanks the area, in addition to 273,000 liters of water for domestic use.
