The Saudi Vision 2030 revealed on Saturday the numbers of the most important achievements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the year 2021, which enhanced the improvement of the citizens" lives. In the third quarter of 2021, the government revenues amounted to about SR243 billion, which considers an increase of 13% on an annual basis, while it recorded a surplus of SR6.7 billion — the first surplus since 2019. The foreign direct investments achieved the highest number in the past 10 years in the second quarter of 2021, reaching $13.8 billion, which is considered an increase of 664%. Saudi Vision 2030 stated that 210,000 Saudi families have benefited from housing programs, of which 166,000 families were able to live in their houses. The housing programs is considered one of the key goals of Vision 2030. Meanwhile, 10 hospitals have been inaugurated in various regions of the Kingdom with a capacity reaching more than 1,500 beds. The Saudi Vision 2030 emphasized that the number of university admissions showed an increase of more than 10%, while more than 220,000 graduates or new employees entered the labor market. It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia had launched Saudi Vision 2030 in 2016, which is a reform plan that aims to diversify the country’s economic resources.
