Islamic Affairs Ministry delivers 100,000 copies of Holy Qur’an to Egypt

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the King Fahd Complex for Printing of the Holy Qur’an, delivered Saturday at the Saudi Arabia"s embassy in Cairo, Egypt, the sixth batch of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" gift of 100,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an with various sizes and interpretations to Egypt. This gift comes in implementation of the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. On this occasion, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance the General Supervisor of the Madinah-based King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Qur’an, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh has expressed his thanks and appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince for the care and attention to all that serves the Holy Qur’an. The minister explained that this batch of the gift, which the Ministry embarked on sending to Egypt, increased the total copies that reached Egypt to nearly a quarter million copies of the Holy Qur’an to be distributed. The copies are to be distributed in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"s embassy, in implementation of the royal directive in line with the lofty message undertaken by Saudi Arabia towards serving the Holy Qur’an and publishing and distributing millions of copies annually free to all Muslims in the world. Al Al-Sheikh praised the increase in the complex"s average production from nine million copies a year to 20 million copies a year, which was achieved through the generous support of the wise leadership. He also pointed out that the complex"s production till the end of 2021 exceeded 345 million copies, 320 million of which were distributed as gifts from the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Muslims across the world. — SPA
