KSrelief launches nutritional support project for malnourished Pakistani women, children

RIYADH: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center launched a nutritional support project for severely malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan on Wednesday. The project was launched in partnership with the World Food Program and includes providing food packages that last a month for children suffering from malnutrition. The project will also provide pregnant and lactating women with food packages containing nutritional supplements and vitamins delivered through health centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir. The project is set to benefit 57,500 individuals, including 30,444 children and 27,056 pregnant and lactating women. The launch of the project was attended by Kingdom’s Deputy Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Khalaf Al-Enezi, WFP Deputy Director Rathi PalaKrishnan, and Pakistani officials.
