KSrelief Inaugurates Nutritional Support Project for Children and Women Suffering from Acute Malnutrition in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 23, 2022, SPA -- King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched yesterday a life-saving emergency nutritional support project for severely malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women in Muzaffarabad, Kashmir, Pakistan, in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP). The inauguration was attended by the Kingdom’s Deputy Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammed Khalaf Al-Enezi, Pakistani Minister of Finance Abdul Majid Khan, Minister of Health Nassar Ansar Abdali, Director of KSrelief Branch in Pakistan Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Othmani, and WFP's Deputy County Director in Pakistan Rathi PalaKrishnan. The project includes providing food packages for children suffering from malnutrition that suffice for a whole month, in addition to food packages for pregnant and lactating women, containing nutritional supplements and vitamins, delivered through health centers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, benefiting 57,500 individuals, including 30,444 children, and 27,056 pregnant and lactating women.
