Healing Dance (Nina Alexi) Greece In the depths of the Kalahari Desert, the semi-arid savannah, a fire is lit and I reminisce that night in July a greenish red-purple, yellow-striped sky like a canvas of Hieronymus Bosh passing by, as clouds fade away a dazzling array of stars on the velvety golden–red dunes and pans. The endless beat, high clatter of rattles from feet, clapping and singing, the San People’s healing dance. Nina Alexi Poet, playwright, essayist.
