Islamabad, May 11, 2010, SPA -- The foreign ministers of Pakistan and India will meet in Islamabad for talks this summer, the Associated Press reported. Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi made the announcement Tuesday after a telephone call to his Indian counterpart S.M. Krishna. Qureshi said the discussions on July 15 would touch on the whole range of issues between the neighbors. «There are no quick fixes, but sincerity is there,» he said. Last month, the Indian and Pakistani prime ministers met in Bhutan on the sidelines of a regional summit and agreed on the need to normalize relations. In New Delhi, Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna said he was looking forward to the talks. «Let us hope that these talks will be helpful in bringing our two countries closer together,» he said. --SPA 13:46 LOCAL TIME 10:46 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/779522
