United Nations, September 17, SPA -- The U.N. Human Rights Council will review the report on Israel’s offensive in Gaza at the end of the month, U.N. spokeswoman Michele Montas said on Wednesday. The 575-page report, released on Tuesday, focuses primarily on Israel’s three-week assault on Gaza that ended on January 18. The report contains a recommendation that U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon refer the matter to the 15-member U.N. Security Council for follow up. Montas said it is up to the Human Rights Council, the body that commissioned the report, to make that request to the U.N. chief.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/700970
