Ramallah, September 30, SPA --Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Tuesdaythat his visit to Washington was frank and successful. He told reporters in Ramallah that his meeting with US PresidentGeorge W Bush last week "was mainly frank," adding that "we saidexactly what we had and what was needed." Abbas made the statements after attending special prayers forthe Eid al-Fitr holiday, saying "the visit was successful by allmeasures." "We pray to God that we can return to our national unity and haveour independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
