NEW DELHI, Oct 19, (SPA) - India will hold elections inJammu and Kashmir state in November, ending months ofcentral rule in the disputed region, the election commissionsaid on Sunday. Polling will take place from Nov. 17 to Dec. 24, a seniorelection commission official in New Delhi said, to replace aCongress party-led coalition which fell in July over a Hinduland transfer row. "The commission has decided that elections will be held inseven phases in Jammu and Kashmir and the first phase willbegin on November 17," Chief Election Commissioner N.
