Islamabad, November 15, SPA -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Thursdaynamed the chairman of the upper house of parliament, MohammedmianSoomro, as the interim prime minister who will steer the country toelections of new assemblies in January, according to DPA. Soomro, 67, will take up the post after the current parliament isdissolved at 11.59 pm (1859 GMT), having completed its five-yearterm.
