THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Oct 18, SPA -- The alleged leader of aCongolese militia charged with war crimes and crimesagainst humanity has been turned over to the InternationalCriminal Court, the court announced Thursday. Germain Katanga, known as «Simba,» is the allegedcommander of the Patriotic Resistance Force in Ituri, andallegedly committed six war crimes and three crimes againsthumanity in the lawless province, the court said in astatement.
