Jeddah, Oct 20, SPA -- Iraqi Vice-president Dr Tariq al-Hashemi has highlighted the stand of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz towards Iraq and its people. The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has reiterated in so many occasions the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Iraq, he said in a statement published in Jeddah-based al-Madina newspaper today. He noted that the King is keen on preserving the unity of Iraq and ending the sufferings of its people. Al-Hashemi pointed out that the Saudi Monarch has been urging the Iraqis to go on the path of national reconciliation. The Kingdom is one of the countries which have been genuinely working to enable the Iraqis overcome the difficulties and preserve the unity of their country, he added.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/491751
