PESHAWAR, Pakistan, April 20, SPA -- British Foreign Secretary David Miliband arrived Sunday in Pakistan for talks on increasingcooperation in combating terrorism, a British Embassyspokesman said. During his two-day visit, Miliband will meet with newlyelected Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and PresidentPervez Musharraf, said Aidan Liddle, spokesman for theBritish High Commission. «Its a sort of listening visit. He wants to come out andmeet the new government and find out what their prioritiesare,» Liddle told The Associated Press. On Sunday, Miliband traveled to Peshawar, capital of theNorth West Frontier province, for talks with seniorgovernment officials.
