Prince Saud said Saudi Arabia has decided to participate in the conference after the unanimous decision of the Arab Initiative Committee in this context and the commitment and determination of the U.S. to work towards pushing ahead Palestinian and Israeli sides to reach a comprehensive peace agreement . " Through this commitment, the United States reiterated that it will use all its strength and influence to bring together Palestinian and Israeli sides to discuss the final status issues." He noted that when the U.S. President is saying that he supports peace efforts in full, it gives everyone confidence that he will do that, which is an assurance not only given to Saudi Arabia, but also to other Arab States to participate in the Conference. He pointed out that the letter of invitation to participate in the conference included a clear signal that the aim of the conference is to deal with difficult issues relating to the settlement of the final status. Prince Saud hoped that the Annapolis conference for peace in the Middle East would be able to activate the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, which had been frozen for a long time. --MORE www.spa.gov.sa/503671
