MIRAN SHAH, Pakistan, September 09, SPA -- Suspected pro-Taliban militants ambushed a military convoy in troublednorthwestern Pakistan on Sunday, triggering a shootout thatkilled 10 militants and wounded seven soldiers, an armyspokesman said. The fighting began after a group of armed militants openedfire on troops traveling through Shawal on the edge ofNorth Waziristan, said Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad.
