BEIJING, October 30, SPA --,King Abdullah II of Jordan urged China on Tuesday to take a more active role in helping broker peace in the Middle East. China's growing influence could speed a resolution of theIsrael-Palestinian conflict and other lingering regionaltensions, Abdullah said in a speech to students at PekingUniversity. As a permanent veto-holding member of the U.N.
