Jeddah, August 01, SPA -- Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign affairs pointed out at a joint press conference he held here today with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates that their audience with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Tuesday evening and the talks he ( Saud Al-Faisal) had this morning with Rice, covered the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict, the peace process, the current situation in Iraq, the Lebanese Crises, and the region's Nuclear File. "We were briefed by Rice on the U.S. President's initiative to hold International Peace Conference, and we believe this initiative includes a number of important and positive elements on the comprehensive solution, the establishment of a comprehensive Palestinian State, the dismemberment of Jewish colonies, the resolution of the issue of refugees and the City of Al-Quds. These elements in their contents complement with the Arab Initiative for comprehensive peace solution. We are welcoming this initiative," Prince Saud said. "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reiterated in his meeting with Rice and Gates, the importance of resolving Arab-Israeli conflict which lead to solution of several issues of tension in the Region. The Arabs have expressed their serious willingness to resolve this conflict through the Arab Peace Initiative which will settle directly core issues such as the final solution," he added. Prince Saud pointed to the International move to revive the peace process, reiterating that Israel should prove seriousness in dealing with peace steps and avoid political maneuver.
