Top UN Somalia envoy says Ethiopia intends to pull troops from Somalian lands

CAIRO, JUNE 10, SPA -- The U.N. envoy to Somalia said Sundaythat Ethiopia is determined to withdraw all of its troopsdeployed in the neighboring country. Francois Lonseny Fall, U.N. Secretary General's specialrepresentative to Somalia, held talks here with ForeignMinister Ahmed Aboul Gheit on the security and humanitariansituation in Somalia, REPORTED AP. During the meeting, he conveyed the determination ofEthiopia _ a regional military powerhouse which was vitalin helping Somalia's government drive out Islamic radicalswho overrun and ruled much of the country for six monthslast year _ to withdraw its troops, the official MENA newsagency said.
