ISLAMABAD, Sept 28, SPA -- Pakistan's president onThursday said three-way talks in Washington with his U.S. and Afghan counterparts had «positive results» andPakistan and Afghanistan decided to increase cooperation infighting terrorism. After arriving in London, Gen. Pervez Musharraf saidWednesday's dinner meeting with President George W. Bushand attended by Afghan leader Hamid Karzai was «held in avery good atmosphere, in a pleasant atmosphere.» «The meeting that I held with President Bush and HamidKarzai last night was very good,» Musharraf said incomments aired live on Pakistani TV. «It was decided thatwe should have a common strategy. We have to fightterrorism. We have to defeat it, defeat it jointly.» Musharraf said that it was decided that Afghanistan andPakistan should have better intelligence coordination andinteraction so that «we can meet the challenges» offighting militants. «In this way it had good results and I think, Godwilling, there will be no opposition like this in thefuture,» he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/392863
