ISLAMABAD, Nov. 10, SPA -- An explosive device went off in a farm field in Pakistan's part of Kashmir, killing five girls, AP QUOTED the police sources as saying Friday. Police believe the girls in Kel village _ which lies 15 kilometers (10 miles) from the Line of Control _ mistook a bomblet for a toy, said Mohammed Bashir, a police official in Muzaffarbad, the regional capital. The blast occurred on Thursday. Three of the girls died at the scene while two died later at a military hospital, he said. Bashir said munitions of that type had been fired from across the Line of Control by Indian forces in previous years.«The Pakistan army has defused many bombs, grenades and toy-shaped bomblets, but some are still lying in the farm fields,» he said. The girls were students at a high school, but there was no immediate information about their ages.--SPA www.spa.gov.sa/401986
