New York, July 22, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reiterated its condemnation of the war launched by Israel on Lebanon, and its intentional and frequent destruction and violation of human rights. The Kingdom also denounced targeting of innocent civilians by Israel in violation of all international conventions and humanitarian considerations. These remarks were made by the Kingdom’s permanent representative at the UN Ambassador Fawzi Shubukshi at a meeting of the Security Council last night. "The Kingdom warns the international community against the existing dangerous situation in the region. It would be impossible to predict the serious repercussions caused by violence in the region in the light of the failure of the international community to take a firm stand against the Israeli aggressive policies," he said.
