WELLINGTON, New Zealand, Feb 5, SPA -- New Zealand's primeminister on Sunday condemned two of her country'snewspapers for reprinting Danish caricatures of ProphetMohammad (PBUH) and provoking hundreds of angry Muslims toprotest. Prime Minister Helen Clark said New Zealand could facetrade and other sanctions as a result of the cartoonspublished Saturday in The Dominion Post newspaper inWellington and the Christchurch Press newspaper, the NZPAnews agency reported. More than 700 angry Muslims marched through Auckland, NewZealand's largest city, on Sunday to protest the cartoons'publication. Clark told NZPA there was nothing to be gained frompublication of the cartoons.
