Prince Turki said the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States jumped from $160 million in 1970 to more than $26 billion in 2004. He lauded the great attention being given by the Kingdom to the educational programs from the primary stage to the university level, as well as to the programs of training and scholarships. He pointed out that more than five million students are currently receiving various training programs. He noted that arrangements are underway to send about 10,000 students in the future to the US.
