Houston, June 28, SPA – The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to US, Prince Turki Al-Faisal has stressed the importance of holding the second session of Arab-American Economic Forum in Houston to bolster cooperation between Arab countries and the United States, highlighting the role of Arab-Americans especially businessmen in building communication bridges. In a press conference held here yesterday, Prince Turki Al-Faisal reiterated the strength of the historical relations between Saudi Arabia and US in all fields, pointing out that the Kingdom is proceeding ahead with its efforts of bringing about reforms in the country. "Moreover, these efforts are necessary and not a choice." He welcomed American oil companies to invest in the Kingdom which has attained its great economic growth in all sectors. In an answer to a question about the Kingdom’s stance towards the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, he said that Saudi Arabia is still committed to its peace initiative proposed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. In a reply to another question about Iran, he said that Saudi Arabia believes that the right way to solve the Iranian nuclear issue is the diplomatic solution and hence the Kingdom supports the diplomatic efforts that will lead to a diplomatic solution.--SPA 28/06/2006 13:29 ت م www.spa.gov.sa/371875
