Chisinau, April 8, SPA -- Moldova's pro-Western PresidentVladimir Voronin named Vasile Tarlev to continue as primeminister Friday and instructed the future government tocarry out wide-ranging reforms and reduce corruption. Parliament on Friday also voted in an opposition leader asdeputy head of the legislature. "In the next four years the government needs to modernizeMoldova," said Voronin, 64, re-elected president of thiscountry of 4.5 million on Monday. He said the new government would reduce the number ofcivil servants by 70 percent and cut the number ofministries.
