Baghdad, July 13, SPA -- A suicide car bomber detonated hisvehicle Wednesday near a U.S. vehicle in eastern Baghdad,killing one American soldier and at least seven Iraqichildren, the U.S. military said. Two American soldiers and "multiple Iraqi civilians"were wounded in the late morning attack, a statement fromTask Force Baghdad said. The blast also set a nearby houseon fire, the statement added.
