Mosul, Iraq, Nov 8, SPA -- A car bomb exploded in the northernIraqi city of Mosul on Monday, injuring one U.S. soldierand 12 Iraqi bystanders, the U.S. military and hospitalofficials said. The car bomb exploded at 10:30 a.m. (0730 GMT) near a U.S.army convoy, wounding the soldier, who was evacuated to anearby military hospital, said Capt. Angela Bowman. Officials at the al-Salaam hospital said that 12 Iraqiswere brought in for injuries. The entire convoy was able to move out of the explosionarea, she said, though three civilian vehicles weredamaged.
