India seeks to open a second road link with Pakistan

New Delhi, June 11, SPA -- India's prime minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said his nation will discuss with Pakistan the possibility of opening a second road link. Addressing a public rally after laying the foundationstone for a 44-megawatt power project in the Kargildistrict of Indian-controlled Kashmir, Prime MinisterManmohan Singh said he was "aware of (the) demand forlinking Kargil with Baltistan and Gilgit on the Pakistaniside," according to the Press Trust of India.
