Baghdad, May 28, SPA -- A U.S. soldier manning a trafficcheckpoint in the Iraqi capital was shot dead, the militarysaid Monday. The Task Force Baghdad soldier was taken to a coalition medical facility but died 40 minutes after he wasshot late Sunday, the military said in a statement. The military gave no details but said the incident wasunder investigation.
