Baghdad, Dec 23, SPA -- A suspected insurgent was killedThursday when roadside bomb he was planting detonatedprematurely northeast of Baghdad, the U.S. military said. The attempted attack against a 1st Infantry Divisionpatrol took place south of Baqouba, 57 kilometers (35miles) northeast of Baghdad, the military said withoutproviding details. Also Thursday, a police station in Maamoun district, westof Baghdad, was hit by a projectile, an Iraqi policeofficial speaking on condition of anonymity said. Onepoliceman was killed and two others were injured, he said. Two missiles slammed Thursday morning at two houses westof Baghdad, killing two civilians and injuring two others,police Lieut.
