Hyderabad, March 9, SPA -- Police in southern India killedfour Maoist rebels _ including a top commander _ during agunbattle in a dense forest, a senior officer said. Rebel commander D.V.K. Swamy, alias Yadanna, was killedalong with three other guerrillas in a fierce gunfight thatlasted several hours, said police officer Batti Lal Meena. Swamy supervised operations in Warangal district, therebels' biggest stronghold, and nearby areas.
