Baghdad, Feb 24, SPA -- Bomb attacks killed two U.S. soldiersand wounded two more north of the Iraqi capital on Thursday, the military said. The first Task Force Liberty Soldier was killed when animprovised explosive device, or homemade bomb, went offearly Thursday near Qaryat in Diyala province, the U.S.command said in a statement. Diyala stretches northeast ofthe capital to the border with Iran. A second Task Force Liberty Soldier was killed in aseparate attack to the west two hours later near Samarra,95 kilometers (60 miles) north of Baghdad, the militarysaid. Two soldiers were also wounded in the blast and takento a nearby coalition medical facility. As is customary in the military, the names of the soldierswas withheld pending notification of next of kin.
