BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug 15, SPA -- A U.S. soldier was killed earlySunday when an improvised bomb exploded in northernBaghdad, the military announced. The blast went off about 1:30 a.m., the military said in astatement. No other soldiers were wounded, it said. The name of the deceased soldier was being withheld untilthe next of kin could be informed.
