BAGHDAD, May 09, SPA -- A U.S. soldier was killed and four others were wounded in a shooting attack in Diyala province northeast of Baghdad, the military said Wednesday. The Task Force Lightning soldier was killed and fourothers were wounded by gunfire Tuesday in the province,according to a statement. The death raises to at least 3,379 members of the U.S. military who have died since the Iraq war started in March2003, according to an Associated Press count.
