BUJUMBURA, Burundi, Aug 14, SPA -- Dozens of unknown assailants attacked a U.N. refugee camp in western Burundi, shooting and hacking to deathat least 150 Congolese refugees,witnesses and local officials said Saturday. An additional 30 people died in the hospital following thelate Friday attack on the refugee camp near the border withCongo, said Isabelle Abric, spokeswoman of the U.N. missionin Burundi. "It is too early to identify the attackers," Abric toldtold The Associted Press. "Some 150 people were killed onthe spot and another 100 people were wounded and brought tohospital in (the Burundian capital in) Burumbura and wehave learned that an additional 30 people died inhospital." The assailants raided the camp late Friday, screaming warcries and torching a refugee camp in Gatumba, 20 kilometers(12 miles) from the Congolese border town of Uvira, LouisNiyonzima, a local official, told The Associated Press.
