AL-FASHER, Sudan, Aug 24, SPA -- British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw visited Sudan's Darfur region, according to a report circulated today bythe Associated Press. Straw, who was received Tuesday by North Darfur Gov. OsmanYoussif Kabir at Al-Fasher airport, was planning to visitthe nearby Abu Shouk refugee camp, a sprawling camp set indesert and scrubland about 2 kilometers (just over a mile)from the provincial northern capital of al-Fasher.
