Karachi, Pakistan, Sept 10, SPA -- Two doctors have been indicted for treating al-Qaida suspects and members of a Pakistaniextremist group accused of launching an assassinationattempt against a top general in June that left 10 peopledead, a government lawyer said Friday. Police initially arrested the doctors _ brothers AkmalWaheed and Arshad Waheed _ on July 2 in connection with thefailed attempt to kill Lt. Gen. Ahsan Saleem Hayat, thecity's top army general. Those charges were later dropped, but prosecutors say theynow have information that the doctors had treated"terrorists." On Thursday, a judge in Karachi indicted the physicians,saying they had treated al-Qaida suspects Hassam Al-Saimand Abu Musab at a hospital last year.
