Washington, Safar 5, 1434, Dec 18, 2012, SPA - The Accountability Review Board (ARB) has completed its investigation on the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi and its report has been sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the State Department said Monday. "Let me tell you what I can for the moment. The ARB has completed its work. Its report has gone to the secretary this morning; she now has it," State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters. Clinton was scheduled to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) and the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) on the report, but she cancelled her appearance due to illness. "Our current plan is that we expect that the ARB leaders, Ambassador Thomas Pickering and Admiral (Mike) Mullen, will brief the SFRC and the HFAC on Wednesday, at their request in closed session. And then the secretary's deputies, Deputy Secretary (William) Burns and Deputy Secretary (Thomas) Nides, will brief SFRC and HFAC on Thursday, at their request in open session, responding to the report and talking about the path forward," Nuland said. Nuland said that the report, which includes both an unclassified and a classified section, will be made available to Congress before the hearings are held. --SPA 11:22 LOCAL TIME 08:22 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1060224
